Viator focuses on local-language mobile platforms
Viator, an online resource for travel experiences, has launched mobile sites in French, German and Spanish for European travellers.
These local-language mobile sites complement Viator’s French, German and Spanish translated websites.
Viator highlighted that bookings on its French, German and Spanish sites have grown steadily in the past 12 months despite the challenging global economic climate.
“We anticipate these same savvy travellers will find value in accessing high-quality travel experiences at the best prices via their mobile devices, both in advance of travel and while in destination,” said Barrie Seidenberg, president and CEO of Viator.
The company shared that these three new mobile sites are fully optimised for the iPhone and all smartphone devices. Travellers can conduct research, read traveller reviews, and book activities in their preferred language. All tours are presented and sold in Euros.
Also, the sites are the latest additions to Viator’s selection of resources for travellers on-the-go, which includes the Viator Tours and Activities for iPhone and iPod touch, the Viator Ultimate Experience Guide for iPad, the flagship Viator mobile site, and Viator’s Japanese-language mobile website.
