Nexion, full-service host agency for the travel industry, has acquired the assets of Southwest Travel Systems (SWTS), also known as MyHostAgency.com. This acquisition will provide an enhanced host agency support system for the 60 SWTS members who will tr

Mike Baldwin, General Manager of Nexion, a Sabre Travel Network brand, contends that the move cements Nexion's industry leadership position as the largest host agency with the most complete services in the country.

"It strengthens the offerings and value for Nexion members, suppliers and employees,” he says. “And Southwest Travel Systems agencies gain multiple benefits, including access to all four global distribution systems (GDS), unique marketing programs, advanced booking tools, preferred suppliers, solid backing from Sabre Holdings, and full-service operational support."

SWTS, headquartered in Phoenix, has provided a travel technology program designed specifically for independent travel agents, at-home agents and traditional offline agencies throughout the US since 1992. SWTS becomes a business operation within Nexion and will continue to support SWTS membership while the business is integrated into Nexion, which is expected to be by the end of the first quarter of 2005.
