Northstar Travel Media has announced the official beta launch of Tripz.com, a travel-planning site allowing consumers them to research and access the best travel options worldwide.

Tripz.com is a joint venture between Northstar Travel Media, the world’s largest business-to-business travel publisher, and Alliance Reservation Network, a leading meta-search-engine technology provider.

Specifically, when all the site’s features are activated, consumers will be able to access information on 4,000 cities, 270 countries and islands, and 78 states/provinces around the world, in addition to information on 80,000 hotels and 150,000 property images. Uniquely, Tripz.com will provide consumers with new perspectives on the most popular travel spots and help them discover new destinations beyond the top 40.

Tripz.com also features proprietary best-rate search capabilities, allowing consumers to find the lowest price on hotels, air, cruise, car rentals and special-interest travel. Tripz.com then sends consumers directly to the site of the best-price travel provider for booking. “Tripz.com will save consumers time, money and energy,” said George Hundley, chief executive officer of Northstar Travel Media. “It will allow consumers to easily navigate mountains of travel data on the Web and also find the best price available for exactly what they are searching for.”
