Worldspan and Access America have signed a partnership that enables Worldspan’s US travel agency subscribers to easily purchase travel protection for their clients.
The travel technology provider stated that Access America’s comprehensive portfolio of travel insurance and assistance services is accessible through Worldspan Go! desktop travel management solution for travel agencies.
“The addition of Access America to the Go! Resource Center places another expert travel service within instant electronic reach of our travel agents,” said Kathy Fitzpatrick, Worldspan vice president -- North America. “Worldspan is committed to enriching the Go! desktop with valuable content and new revenue opportunities for travel agencies.”
“Through this partnership, Worldspan agents can offer their customers a well-planned trip combined with excellent traveler protection services, and enjoy a new commission opportunity at the same time,” said Beth Godlin, executive vice president of Access America.
A released shared that the alliance presents Worldspan travel agents with new online commission opportunities, efficient desktop access to traveler services and the ability to link Access America orders to active reservations. Orders are integrated into passenger name records (PNR) in Worldspan, a time-saver for travel agents that automatically combines transactions with other client travel services.
It added that travel agents connect to Access America’s myACCESS agent Web portal through an interactive link in the Worldspan Go! Resource Center. There is a simple one-time registration process.
