Travelzoo launches its travel search engine in beta

Online travel deals publisher Travelzoo has made its new travel search engine, Fly.com, available for public beta access.

Brian Clark, senior vice president and general manager, search products, Travelzoo said, Fly.com will allow consumers to find the best prices, including combinations of Fly.com results and deals published by Travelzoo.

Referring to differential offerings, Max Rayner, chief information officer, Travelzoo, said, "Our at-a-glance Summary pages, Why-me information links, and multiple world-class data sources make Fly.com a powerful tool. and this is just our beta version. There is more in store."

Travelzoo had bought the Internet domain name Fly.com for $1,760,000 in cash.

The company had a total unduplicated number of newsletter subscribers of 14.6 million as of December 31, 2008, up 2.0 million, or 16 percent from December 31, 2007.
