Travel price comparison site Travelsupermarket.com has launched a new information-led service on the hotels page of the site.

The users will be able to see all the hotel details at a glance, helping them decide which hotel to book before clicking through.

Alexis Garrick, hotels channels manager at travelsupermarket.com, said: “The fact that users can also read reviews, both personal and professional, gives an excellent overview of the hotel and the sharing of information. Many people still do not feel 100 per cent comfortable booking hotels through the Internet and we hope that by using our site, visitors will feel confident enough to click through and make that booking.”

The front page of results for hotels now gives users immediate and easy-to-read details about the hotel, including the supplier, the price, room details and board basis, as well as a picture of the property. Users can then click through to view a comprehensive page of details on the hotel, including full amenities, numerous images of the hotel taken directly from the provider’s site, a satellite location map of the hotel (which users can view enlarged and interactively), as well as both user reviews and articles that have mentioned this hotel, stated the company.

These reviews have been selected from a number of professional, high profile and well-known sources, such as Frommers, The AA, Fodors and newspaper publications – including The Guardian, The Telegraph and the Financial Times. If users also want to air their views there is the option to add their very own opinion in the news review column.
